Reporting to the Shipping Manager, the Order Picker is responsible for filling and delivering customer orders to the shipping dock, in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security and productivity.
Duties and Responsibilities:
â€¢Gathers and distributes customer orders with 100% accuracy.
â€¢Proficient usage of the Warehouse Management system / RF Scanner to include scanning order line items under general supervision.
â€¢Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders in cartons or places them on pallets.
â€¢Mark cartons with identifying information as necessary.
â€¢Conveys materials and items to designated area(s) by hand, hand truck, or electric pallet jack.
â€¢Performs general housekeeping as needed. Maintains a safe, neat and clean work area by adhering to safety regulations.
â€¢Accurately and efficiently meet minimum production standards and accuracy requirements.
â€¢High School Education
â€¢Excels in time management, multi-tasking and balancing multiple orders at one time.
â€¢Demonstrates the ability to follow directions and change priorities or job duties as business needs require; rotate to other department functions as needed.
â€¢Must be able to read, write, and have sufficient English reading ability.
â€¢Basic math skills necessary.
Other Job Demands:
â€¢Some overtime and Saturdays required.
â€¢Willing and able to work in a hot and cold warehouse environment.
â€¢Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 75 lbs.
â€¢Extended periods standing / walking / bending / stooping / kneeling on concrete floors.
â€¢Must have the ability to safely and efficiently operate powered equipment, including pallet jacks and forklift trucks.
