Overall Responsibility:
Maintains relationships and favorable contacts with current and potential accounts. Responsible for overseeing new account set up, and resolves customer issues/problems. Retains and develops new business by analyzing account potential and recommending strategies. Familiar with client requirements and appraisal standards. Responsible for exercising sound judgment in resolving customer and employee concerns. Provides leadership, training and supervision; delegates day to day operations to Processors or other team personnel.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
• Manage Turn Around Time (TAT) throughout all phases of appraisal reports to ensure it meets company expectations and standards.
• Monitor and maintain acceptable price margins.
• Manage and oversee file quality to ensure it meets company standard and expectations.
• Set team goals and expectations and effectively communicate to team members.
• Enhances department and organization by fostering teamwork and taking ownership for accomplishing new and different requests as directed by the Operations Manager; exploring educational opportunities to add value to the company and themselves.
• Ensure team members are in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations pertaining to our industry and company policies including but not limited to meal and rest periods, absenteeism, tardiness and performance management.
• Participate in the selection process of new team members in conjunction with the Human Resources department.
• Additional duties as assigned by Operations Manager.
Requirements:
• Requires a High School diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.
• Experience as team lead or in a supervisory role.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline oritented enviornment.
• Computer Literacy and ability to learn new software.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, manage motivate and communicate positively with office staff at all levels.
• Ability to train, coach and develop team members.
• Must exercise considerable independent judgment and discretion.
• Must have highly developed organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
• Must be USPAP compliant after three months of employment.
• Detail oriented
• Ability to multi-task
• Customer service oriented
Preferred but not required:
• 2+ years of experience in the appraisal field or mortgage industry.
• Familiar with appraisals and appraisal types.
