SUMMARY:
The Personal Lines Client Service Representative performs the essential functions of the position, which includes sales and service. Specific service responsibilities are fulfilling the client requests and assisting producers as necessary. Marketing activity is required in this position to meet sales, service, and quality standards adopted by the agency. Responsible for prospecting, soliciting, quoting, and selling new Personal Lines Accounts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Service Personal Lines accounts in an effort to prevent a gap and or lapse in coverage, thus reducing our E and O exposure.
• Inform and educate clients about policy coverage, changes, exclusions, and insurance coverage needs.
• Handle telephone requests and correspondence hi a timely manner in reference to assigned clients.
• Prepare auto ID cards, Evidence of Property Insurance, Certificates of Insurance, and binders in Applied Systems within 24 hours of request.
• Receive and process all change requests in Applied Systems and suspense for receipt of the endorsement.
• Receive and process claim reports in Applied Systems, submitting to the appropriate company and suspense for handling of claim by company with appropriate follow-up.
• Prepare account summaries as requested.
• Renews policies following agency standards; verifying each renewal's accuracy; ensures that all renewals are processed.
• Keep producers frilly informed of any important activities on their accounts including being sensitive to potential problems and informing management accordingly.
• Assist in cross selling and account rounding.
• Obtain X-dates for policies not written by us to follow-up and quote.
• Identifies and develops insurance prospects and appropriate markets.
• Responds to referrals quickly and effectively. Pre-qualifies insurance prospects for insurability and quality of risk. Designs insurance plans and recommends coverage to clients.
• Surveys loss exposures, needs, and possible uninsurable or difficult to insure exposures for clients.
• Prepares and completes new applications in Applied Systems.
• Develops, follows, and completes sales objectives as outline by Management.
• Maintain accurate and organized files according to agency procedures.
• Maintain complete and accurate client activities in Applied Systems. Maintain accurate and updated suspense file in Applied Systems. Review all policies and endorsements for accuracy before processing. Invoice all premium-bearing transactions.
• Collect ALL premiums per established agency procedures before binding any coverage.
• Compute and prepare premium finance contracts as needed.
• Prepare expired and cancelled policies and files for filing in expired/ deleted drawers.
• Prioritize workload and or request assistance as required.
