VACATION RENTAL PROS PROPERTY MANAGEMENT
POSITION DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Accounts Payable
Location: 1082 3rd Street North, Jacksonville Beach, FL
General Summary
Vacation Rental Pros seeks a full time Accounts Payable Coordinator to work in a casual dress “Beaches” office location in Jacksonville Beach, FL.
This job requires availability Monday through Friday and occasional Saturday.
Pay is $13.50 per Hour. There will be a review at the first 6 months and a review annually.
Vacation Rental Pros ( www.VacationRentalPros.com ) is a rapidly growing property management company of over 200 “seasonal” vacation rental homes located in Florida.
This is an entrepreneurial driven company with substantial growth and fantastic salary upside potential. The company hired its first employee in 2006, and now has a staff of 14.
The company has grown 600% in the last 3 years – and managing growth and creating systems and procedures will be the challenge for the right candidate as many systems do not currently exist and are on post it notes or scraps of papers from the previous predecessor. The candidate applying for this job should understand they are being hired to create the systems and procedures.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Must be proficient with computers (Microsoft Office). This is a technology based company using the latest technology. The job requires the candidate to leverage technology to streamline the manual operations.
Will work throughout the day with Escapia Reservation software. www.escapia.com
Proficiency in Excel is REQUIRED. Experience with Quickbooks is highly beneficial.
Duties include:
1. Daily posting of Accounts Payable including postings to Owners Statements.
2. Bank Reconcilements
3. Use of all office equipment.
4. Review of Accounts Payable to Work Orders.
5. Cross train on Receivables Posting.
6. Budget Reporting
Working Environment:
1. Our company is in Jacksonville Beach, FL (slightly north of Jacksonville Beach). We prefer someone who lives close. Unless there is some compelling circumstance, we want employees who live East of US 95.
2. We are growing very, very fast and this is a job that is extremely seasonal. This job requires the ability to handle in a good natured manner pressure situations regarding customers (complaining on operational issues) and property owners (asking questions on costs or their owner statements).
3. The hours of this job will be Monday through Friday and some Saturdays.
We can be flexible to a certain extent on hours. The job is highly seasonal and there is a slow period from mid-August to mid-December.
4. The position involves the continuous use of the Internet and computer software. You must be very comfortable with computers.
Job Specifications
8 hours/day – can be flexible; software applications include Excel, Quickbooks and Escapia Property Management software.
Education, Experience, and Skills
• Highly developed computer skills with an emphasis on spreadsheets
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated initiative, flexibility and multitask skills are essential, as well as, a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Associate Degree in Accounting
