This position administers nursing care in an outpatient facility or clinic under the supervision of a doctor or ARNP. LPN participates in the delivery and evaluation of patient care. Ensures health, comfort and safety of patients. Requires a high school diploma and certification as a licensed practical nurse. This person is to be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. IV therapy and GYN skills necessary. LPN relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Perform a variety of tasks and works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Responsibilities
• Assist patients and providers as needed
• Performs IV therapy
• Answers after hour calls to practice
• Clinical training and supervision of Medical Assistants
• Answer patient questions and address concerns with a professional and positive attitude
• Ensure a positive and productive visit takes place
• Displays a positive attitude, pleasant and professional tone of voice, and shows compassion.
• Maintains all licenses and needed accreditations
• Works with other clinical and administrative entities to ensure that all patients are treated properly and consistently
• Ensures all medical supplies are ordered and stocked
• Must understand and be cross-trained in medical office specialist role
• Works to ensure communication takes place between clinical team and administrative team
• Help maintain all equipment and materials in good working order and communicates all issues
