Position: SPECIAL PROJECTS COORDINATOR/PRODUCER
Job category: Television/Radio/Newspaper
Description: Responsible for organizing and overseeing development of news series and special reports year round for WJXT. Will develop story ideas and coordinate live event coverage. Will work closely with the News Director, Executive Producers and Promotions Director on series strategy. Position requires field producing, shooting, editing and writing for daily news broadcasts as well as special programs.

Three to five years experience in commercial local or network television news. Experience in long format programming a plus. Must demonstrate organizational, managerial, and creative abilities. Must have proven production, writing, and news judgments skills. Must be able to work independently. Tapes required. A college degree in a related area is preferred.
