| Description: |
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
* Writing, producing, shooting and editing, programming and station image promotion for WJXT and all of its affiliated brands
*Schedule Anchors and Reporters for in-studio and field shoots
*Lighting for in-studio and field shoots
* Assisting in logging and maintaining inventory of the station promotion
schedule
* Writing five or more topicals daily for evening and late newscasts
* Attend and be an active contributor to daily news meetings
* Regularly update content on the web.
* Other duties as assigned by Creative Services Director
Tentative Hours: 9 A.M. – 6:00 P.M. – Monday - Friday
1-2 years local television promotion experience. Knowledge of marketing, non-linear editing (Final Cut Pro and Motion) and writing. Expertise in Photoshop a plus. Must show initiative in creating and producing on-air and new media announcements. Flexible hours and positive, team-first attitude are absolutely essential. Must be organized, able to handle multiple projects, and prepared to embrace an industry that evolves every single day. Computer skills required, including strong knowledge of internet, social media and other viral marketing applications.
