Jax Federal Credit Union, Jacksonville, FL seeks a Senior Card Services Specialist to help manage our debit and credit card portfolios. Bring your knowledge of the First Data Resources (FDR) and/or Symitar System, your business acumen and excellent customer service skills to a challenging position and great career opportunity. This role insures the smooth day to day operations of the Card Services department including handling fraud cases and escalated calls. You will work directly with our vendor partners at FISERV and PSCU.

Weekly Work Schedule: Mon - Fri (8:30 am - 5:30 pm), alt Sat (9:00 am - 1:00 pm)
Role: Serves as a subject matter expert to our members/associates for services related to the full array of the Card Services product suite. Perform Card Services duties which include responding to incoming service calls. Accept calls that escalate or require research/special resolution.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
-45% Assist members and associates with questions pertaining to Card Services products, processes and procedures. Provide members with information and direction regarding their account status, requests, rights and obligation associated with the account. Competently handles a monthly call volume of 3000 + incoming calls in the department. Works the escalated service calls and works to research and resolve the nature of the inquiry. Process VISA debit and credit card requests, set up accounts and order cards. Make adjustments on accounts as authorized. Charge off VISA credit card accounts. Maintain all accounts according to VISA rules and regulations.
-25% Act as a liaison between the external vendor partners; PSCU/FDR and FISERV. Implement new products as specified by the card product vendors. Submit Product System updates to PSCU as needed to implement changes to the card product. Responsible to ensure that adequate plastic stock is available. Monitors inserts for the card programs. Provide assistance and support for Card promotions and campaigns as developed and implemented. Review vendor invoices each month to insure proper billing.
-15% Monitor CAMS and fraud alerts for both the debit and credit card programs. Take appropriate actions to status cards, contact members, order new cards and disseminate information internally and externally to the appropriate audiences (Management, Members, Marketing, IS and others as needed) Print and forward fraud close out packages to the CEO for Board of Directors approval.
-10% Work closely with members of the Finance Department to ensure the General Ledger accounts balance monthly. Prepares reports as management requests. Monitor reports and correspondence via member connect. Print documents and forward to appropriate departments.
-5% Participate in the credit union's disaster recovery and business continuity plan testing. Serves on cross functional teams, participates in meeting and training sessions.
Expectations:
-EFFICIENCY: As a Sr. Card Services Specialist, works to ensure an optimal work flow in the department. Maximize use of automation and best practices. Exceed standard set for cards managed per associate. Insure product manual for card products is up to date and that JAX WEB has relevant and timely information to assist the staff. Document department processes and keep procedures up to date.
-ACCURACY: Have minimal errors in administration of member VISA and Debit card accounts.
-SERVICE: Provide friendly,prompt, professional and accurate service and support to all members and associates.
-RISK MANAGEMENT: Minimize losses due to fraudulent activities by complying with the policies and procedures applicable to member accounts and negotiable items. Comply with all applicable regulations such as the Card Act, Bank Secrecy Act, Reg Z, and Reg E. Complete timely responses to all internal and external audit findings and implement corrective action as specified.
-TEAMWORK: Demonstrate JAXFCU's core values. Be reliable and offer outstanding service to fellow associates. Participate in corporate events and work with colleagues to maintain a high level of morale within the Card Services Team.
-JOB KNOWLEDGE: Possess a thorough understanding of the Credit Union's procedures and process that support account maintenance. Fully knowledgeable on regulatory requirements and associated VISA card rules. Perform at a masterly level using the FDR, FISERV and Symitar
systems as it relates to member transactions and card services products.
-TRAINING: Complete annual Individual Learning Plan on time. Assist training department in the development of related card services training for all staff. May perform as a Train the Trainer and a content subject matter expert for internal training of Card Services Associates.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: Two years to five years of similar or related experience. Demonstrated proficiency with using MS Office Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
Education: Undergraduate degree in business or communications preferred.
Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
Other Skills: Good keyboarding skills; logical and able to to follow complex instructions; Must have excellent communications skills.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
The employee must occasionally lift/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
