| Description: |
Responsible for live coverage of general assignment stories on a day to day basis. You must be able to go live on breaking news and continue our coverage for as long as possible. If you do not feel comfortable live… do not apply. Responsible for developing stories, building contacts, producing and writing stories each day as well as following up assigned stories.
Must be a strong storyteller with the ability to produce engaging, lively demonstrative stand-ups and live shots.
Will be responsible for producing several stories a day--- including content for station website. Expect to produce additional vosots for additional newscasts. You may be required to shoot and edit your own stories as necessary.
Minimum five years of television news reporting experience. Successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to be a genuine self-starter who generates stories on his/her own without being handed assignments from the desk. Candidate shall also have demonstrated ability to do smooth live shots. Shifts may include weekends and/or overnight. We want someone who knows this isn't a 9-6 job and is willing to work as a genuine team player.
