Job Title: Project Manager – Cleaning Division Reports to: President
Department: Operations Classification: Exempt / Full-time
Revision Date: 8/11/2008 Working Days/Hours: M-F 7:30am – 4:00pm (on-call)
Position Overview
The Project Manager – Cleaning Division will oversee all cleaning projects, such as water damage claims, Carpet cleaning/Floor cleaning jobs and Fire & Smoke damage claims. They are on 24-hour emergency call status (unless prior scheduling for being off-call). They are to be a career minded person who is expected to maintain IICRC-certification as well as obtain and maintain other industry certifications, by attending training and conferences.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Respond to emergency calls/be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
• Perform and manage water damage assignments.
• Perform and manage carpet cleaning/floor cleaning assignments.
• Perform and manage Fire and Smoke damage assignments.
• Be familiar with all IICRC S500 and S520 Standards.
• Learn basic aspects of all restoration type assignments.
• Communicate details of all assignments such as detailed drawings, moisture mapping, temperature readings, dehumidifier readings, customer concerns and requests, and all other tasks considered customary and standard for this job title and according to IICRC and or ASD guidelines.
• Physically fit with no health issues that would interfere with the physical demands and/or conditions of the work environments customary for this type of work.
• Train others and oversee the general maintenance and maintenance schedules of all equipment used in the Cleaning Division.
• Recruitment, training and supervision of new employees.
• Build the retail carpet cleaning customer base with former satisfied customers.
• Market and make sales calls on potential job centers. ex. Insurance adjusters, Realtors, Property Managers and the like.
Requirements
1. • Minimum High School Diploma.
2. • 3 years experience in carpet cleaning/water extraction in the past 5 years.
3. • Computer literate with knowledge and experience with MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, and Xactimate estimating software.
4. • Pass drug screening and criminal background check.
5. • Clean driving record.
6. • Ability to drive company vehicles.
7. • Availability to respond to 24 hour emergencies or mitigation calls.
8. • Have and maintain IICRC-Certifications ASD, CCT, FRT, OCT, WRT.
9. Physical Requirements
10. • Ability to stand, squat, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, walk, push, pull, crouch and crawl for long periods of time
11. • Ability to travel up and down ladders
12. • Ability to lift up to 75lbs on a regular basis
13. • Ability to work in high places and in tight spaces
14. • Capable of working in fire, smoke and/or water damage environments that have potential for mold & mildew
